The meeting of the British Orthopaedic Research Society is held once a year. The call for abstracts has a deadline approximately 3 months before the meeting and abstracts should only be submitted online. Details for forthcoming meetings are displayed below.

Meetings are designed for the communication of work in progress and as such are particularly suitable for clinician/scientists who would like feedback on their research.

Only those abstracts conforming to the specified format will be accepted and only those subsequently presented will be submitted for publication in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

Bursaries

The British Orthopaedic Research Society is pleased to offer bursaries to fund registration, travel and accommodation for research students and technicians who are presenting abstracts at the Society's Scientific Meetings (the entitlement will be restricted to one bursary per annum).
The bursaries will be for a maximum of £100 and limited in number. Should the bursaries become oversubscribed, then the abstract score will be taken into account. Priority will be given to first time applicants and those who would otherwise have to self-fund their attendance. Applicants will be requested to provide confirmation that their earnings are less than £15,000 per annum, verified by their line manager
